Users must have a proper storage area for the wheelchair, and a power supply to charge the batteries.

People who intend to use single or dual function wheelchairs must have perfect vision and comply with a weight limit.

People who go outdoors with the electric wheel chair must comply with the government requirements for driving vehicles.

The neighborhood for which the wheelchair is to be used should have the provision of wheelchair ramps in the area. When used outdoors these wheelchairs must be used on its own. There should be no modified seating or special accessories added aside from what the wheelchair manufacturer has produced.
