The Leeds Festival is one of two festivals under the Carling Weekend festival, with the other one being the Reading Festival. The Reading and Leeds festivals take place annually in August during the Bank Holiday weekend in England.

Leeds Festival 2006 is set to be headlined by some of the most popular rock and alternative bands today. Some of the bands that are scheduled to perform are Pearl Jam, My Chemical Romance, Audioslave, Franz Ferdinand, the Streets and many more.

The Leeds Festival managed to bring at least fifty thousand people last year. Because of the huge crowd expected at this event, the organizers have made sure that all the facilities you might need will be available. There are food stalls and bars in the arena and there is even a supermarket in the village area. There are enough toilets and showers, even for those who decide to stay in the campsite for the length of the three day festival.

There is even a cinema showing some films at the Leeds Festival, if you want to take a break from the musical acts. There are enough cash point machines that will be in the arena since all transactions at the food and non-food stalls will be on a cash basis only.

Even the disabled will be well-accommodated at the Leeds Festival. You will be given disabled access wristbands for you to gain access to the disabled access facilities. There is even a special viewing platform near the stages for the disabled only. If you check the Disabled Info link on the Leeds Festival website, all the information is there.

If you are interested in attending the Leeds Festival, it would be best for you to visit the official Leeds Festival website to check for the availability of tickets. Tickets are usually sold through phone or online and tickets for the weekend dates sell very quickly.
