BUNDY AND BIOMETRIC

The traditional time card systems that made use of Bundy clocks and paper time cards have been made obsolete by the modern computerized time recording system. Nowadays, only small businesses are still employing the old time card systems.

While the Bundy time card systems delivered efficient and reliable service, the set-up of most modern businesses require more than the basic time and attendance system. The size and complexity of modern companies call for a smart, automated system that delivers fast and accurate time and attendance reports and computations.

Most modern, sophisticated time card systems utilize biometric technology to capture and store an employee’s attendance data every single working day. In lieu of a paper card, the time of clocking in and out is stored in a centralized data base that collates the data and computes it, ready to be integrated and used by your company’s payroll system.

UNIQUE BIO-PRINT

Biometric time card systems address the problem common to Bundy time card systems. The biometric technology uses the individual’s unique bio-print to identify and capture your worker’s attendance data. Examples of bio-prints are fingerprints, retinal scans, and voice prints.

Because the bio-prints are unique to a person, the attendance cannot be attributed to someone else. Moreover, the high accuracy of biometric time card systems discourages workers from clocking in and out for their friends and colleagues in the work place.

This used to be the biggest issue with Bundy time card systems. While it is a very reliable time card system, the device has no way of identifying one person from the other. All the system does is to print a time stamp on the card without any regard for who inserted it into Bundy clock. This lack of identity verification resulted to loss of revenues because companies were paying for employees who were not doing their fare share of work.
