Eurail train is the most popular and convenient way to travel Europe today. This is understandable because the scenic view offered by the European countryside is much easier to appreciate in the convenience of European rail system.

Instead of renting a car or flying in by plane, Eurail train allows you to look forward to your travel destination without worrying about returning your car rental or finding the airport for your next flight.

Planning your European trip may not be very easy however. There are different types of train available and Eurail train schedule vary per country, per route, and per season. Thus, a Eurail timetable is an important travel companion if you plan on seeing Europe by train.

Eurail timetables are available online. They also come free of charge when you purchase you Eurail pass. Updated per season, Eurail timetable allows you to plan your trip while on board. It contains a summary of train schedules as well as information on arrival and departure stations.

Since Eurail train products are intended for non-European residents, almost anyone is eligible to get a Eurail pass. The number of days your pass is valid depends on the type of pass you purchase.

Eurail pass and passport should be presented for validation when boarding Eurail train for the first time. After that, you are entitled to unlimited train travel according to the validity of your pass.

The Eurail train includes 17 countries in its network. Several passes are available to fit you travel itinerary. Before you hop on the next train however, make sure that the train route does not pass through any country that’s not covered by your Eurail pass. Passing through uncovered territories means you have to pay extra and may pose a big problem.

One of the great things about Eurail travel is that there is no weight limit to your baggage. Hence, the weight is basically limited by what you can easily carry and board. Trains normally come with overhead storage racks and luggage areas at the end of the car.

Remember though that your baggage is your sole responsibility and the rail company will not take any responsibility for the loss or theft of your belongings. It is therefore highly recommended that you travel light.
