Calibration can be made of equipment what is used for measuring e.g. temperature, weights or what is used for chemical analyzes.

Calibration is done by a certified calibration service. As a proof of the calibration and how long the calibration is valid, the calibration services will put calibration stickers with the date of the equipment calibration and the date of expire.

Calibration is especially necessary where you have to measure things very accurate like in the chemical industry or in a laboratory. 1. You have to clean the weighing machine.
2. You have to start the calibration software of the weighing machine.
3. The program will ask you for the different standard calibration weights (more than three).
4. The calibration software will calculate a calibration curve.
5. The equipment calibration is finalized.

This are the normal steps and in general the steps of every equipment calibration. You compare the equipment calibration with a standard e.g. calibration weights.

This is also done by calibration services but they will certify you the equipment calibration for a certain time with the calibration stickers. That means also that in cases of mistakes you can make the calibration services responsible for this e.g. cost for repeat the measurement.
