Background of Chase Visa

Chase is the brand name for several retail banking services marketed by J.P. Morgan Chase and Company. The company itself is the result of merging two of the country's oldest and most prestigious banks, including Chase Manhattan Bank and J.P. Morgan and Company back in 2004. The company later acquired Bank One, which was the sixth largest bank and the biggest Visa card issuer. With this last acquisition, J.P. Morgan Chase enhanced its individual and merchant credit card processing operations.

Today, J.P. Morgan Chase is the third largest bank in the United States, serving millions of American individuals and companies.

Though it has numerous retail and corporate banking services, Chase is best known for its Visa credit card, which comes in several variants to cater to unique consumer preferences. You can choose from Chase Prepaid Visa card, secured cards and prepaid Visa Gift Cards, and many other variants.

Features of the Chase Flexible Rewards Visa

The Chase Flexible Rewards Platinum Visa is just one of the many different Visa credit card services offered. This credit card facility is available only to those who have outstanding credit records.

Like many other promotions, the Chase Flexible Rewards Visa does not charge an annual fee, and charges no interest for purchases and balance transfers you make within the first year.

Chase Flexible Rewards Visa gives one point for every dollar you spend on your purchases. You can redeem the points to use them for airline ticket, hotel rooms, or vehicle rentals. However, you can earn up to only a maximum of 60,000 points each year and you also need to redeem your points within five years.

Chase Flexible Rewards Visa also gives you free travel insurance, extended warranties for your purchases, and you will not be held liable for any unauthorized purchases made from your card.

The card's main drawback is its higher APR on outstanding balances, computed as the average of two cycles, which tend to be higher than regular APRs under other variants.
