The original Rosetta language is in Egyptian scripts: hieroglyphic and demotic. However, as time went by, it has evolved to be translated in many other languages, resulting in rosetta edition variations. The Rosetta Stone is proof that much improvements can come from a single discovery. The Rosetta Stone may be considered as an artifact, but its effect in modern times continues to be seen in many other aspects.

The actual Rosetta stone has been named after the harbor from which it was discovered, somewhere in the Mediterranean. After the Rosetta language has been translated into modern languages such as English, French and Spanish, there was a lot of insight and speculations which had to be combined. It was also discovered that the text on the Rosetta Stone contained a lot of insights on what taxes and commands were like in the time of Ptolemy V. He was the ruler of Egypt at the time it was created.

Rosetta language has fascinated many a researcher. The fact that the rosette stone is an exotic ancient relic safely guarded in the British Museum in London clearly shows how important it is to historians worldwide. Rosetta as a term has even been used to name a computer learning program. And both the rosetta edition of the computer program and the ancient relic has been translated into rosetta spanish and rosetta french versions.

Rosetta french version is the very first translation made for the rosette stone. Rosetta language has flourished and expanded since then. Some film, software projects, songs, places and scientific aircrafts have been named Rosetta. In fact, the Rosetta project, inspired by the Rosetta Stone translations, is a program which collects various ancient languages and preserves them from complete extinction. Rosetta has gained so much popularity that even one coffee bean type is called Rosetta.
