Presentations are crucial to any business. It can sometimes mean making a sale or closing a deal. And LCD projector rentals play an important part in any presentation.

LCD projector rentals can be costly. Thus, it is wise to avoid having your LCD projector rentals sitting in a room unutilized for hours by making sure that presentations needing a projector are scheduled in one conference room.

Before you open your presentation, make sure that your LCD projector rentals are working well and that you are prepared for any emergency that may happen.

Know your equipment. Check the compatibility of your laptop with the projector. Read the manuals and practice setting up your computer with the equipment. Give yourself plenty of time to set up your LCD or overhead projector before the actual presentation.

When using an overhead projector, place the equipment to your right if you’re right-handed and to your left if you’re left-handed. This will make it easier for you to face your audience while giving your talk.

Don’t forget to cover your transparencies after using them and avoid casting your shadow on your projection screen by standing off to one side of the projector.

Check the bulbs. LCD projector bulbs as well as overhead projector bulbs have limited lives. You will notice your overhead or LCD projector bulb getting dimmer with time and this is a sign that you may need to change it soon.

Prior to a presentation, make sure that your projector bulbs are working and always keep a spare bulb handy. Always use a glove when changing projector bulbs. Old bulbs tend to be hot and the oil on your fingers can cause the new bulb to explode or burn out faster.

Choose your equipment. LCD and DLP projectors process light differently. While LCD projectors cast a much brighter image, it can only be used for a limited amount of time.

DLP projectors on the other hand, create image using thousands of tiny mirrors. The heat of DLP bulbs does not directly affect the other components of the projector allowing it to be used for a longer period without affecting its performance.

Always keep in mind that the success of any presentation sometimes depends on something as minor using the right projector.
