Time attendance software is one cost efficient way of saving money. Many large corporations use time attendance software in keeping track of their employees’ performance. Instead of a manual time attendance sheet, large companies use the time attendance software.

Many things have been said about the importance of human resource. Most often, an employee’s performance is measured by employee attendance software. This software keeps track of the tardiness and absences incurred by the employee over a certain period of time. This time tracking software is often referred to when considering an employee for promotion or when considering an employee for permanent employment.

The time sheet software or time card software is used to track the amount of time an employee has rendered over a period of time. The time the employee started work will be recorded as well as the time the employee stopped working for the day.

Large companies have more sophisticated time attendance software. Some companies would provide a bar coded identification card to the employee. The employee would have to swipe the identification card in the time attendance software. Therefore, the amount of work rendered will not be tampered since it is computerized.

Sometimes the identification card may be swiped by another person in the time attendance software. Large companies usually have rules against this.

Hence, more sophisticated time attendance software is being used by some large companies. This time, the time attendance software reads a person’s fingerprint. The employee will have a fingerprint scanned upon start of work and will have to scan fingerprint again upon exit of the employee from the work premises.

The time attendance software not only monitors employee whereabouts, it also generates the payroll for the employees. Since entry, exit, or non-entry of the employee in the work premises are recorded by the time attendance software, it will compute by itself the number of minutes tardy or the number of days absent the employee has incurred.

Thus, the time attendance software facilitates the job of the timekeeper.
