GSA is short for General Services Administration which runs and administers an alternate system by which the government and their potential suppliers can meet and transact business. GSA Schedule refers to the general pattern or timetable of procurement, supply and services acquisitions, awarding of contracts, property disposal, etc. every fiscal year.

The GSA Schedule is a plan of program that gives private companies the chance to become federal contractors and suppliers. The main feature of the GSA Schedule system is that it parallels the mainstream buying and selling practices of businesses.
