Industrial ovens are used for a number of uses other than baking. It's used for aging, curing, drying, melting and sterilizing to name a few. There are a lot of configurations to choose from and you can even have yours custom-made with your specifications in conjunction with the manufacturer. Industrial ovens can be powered by a number of sources - electricity, propane, natural gas, steam, or other fuels. It could also be a combination of these depending on your needs.

Well-known manufacturers of industrial ovens would be Blue M oven, General Electric (GE) and Maytag. Most of them would have on-line catalogues that you can browse. It is even possible to order GE oven parts and Maytag oven parts should you need it. This would definitely be more cost-effective than having the whole oven replaced.

Let's discuss some types of industrial ovens. If you'd like to automate the mass production of small to medium sized products, a conveyor oven would work for you. The amount of time your product needs to be in the oven would be the exact time that your product traverses the conveyor. You do need a big space for this but it will definitely increase your productivity. The type of system you'd need would be dependent on the final product, temperature needed and volume of work to be produced.

There are also electric range ovens and electric built in ovens. Electric ovens are generally more reliable temperature-wise. It would have built in thermostats that would ensure you're always at the temperature you need. When the thermostat registers that the oven is already at the desired temperature, it will turn off the electric burners that provide heat. If the temperature drops, the thermostat would signal the electric burners to start up again.

Whatever your needs are, there would be an industrial oven perfect for you.
