MODERN DEVELOPMENT
Tracking attendance is paramount to any business endeavor. Time tracking is the basis of your employees’ salary, and is one of the factors that determine their growth in the company.
Tracking attendance systems have gone a long way from the days of the Bundy clock and time cards. Modern time tracking systems are taking advantage of new technology to make the process of tracking attendance easier and more accurate.
Gone are the days of swiping time cards and having them stamped with the time and date that you reported for work. While this old method was reliable and efficient, the system was so easy to deceive. Bundy clock and time card system cannot distinguish one employee from the other, and as such will stamp the time card without any regard for the person who swiped it in. Under this old time tracking system, any employee can swipe in for another and the system will never know what happened.
THE MODERN IDENTIFICATION PROCESS
The modern time tracking systems are more accurate. It makes use of a two point authentication method to verify the identity of your employers. When employees report for work, the first thing they will do is key in their personal identification number or code; when the time tracking system matches the code to the data base, the employees will then be prompted to authenticate their identities by inputting a biometric stamp. This biometric stamp may either be a fingerprint, a retinal scan, or a voice print. If the authentication information matches the one on record, then the attendance is duly recorded and the employee allowed access in the office premises.
These modern tracking attendance systems are not just used by companies to track and monitor the attendance of their employees; they are also being used to monitor visitors as part of the company’s security procedures.
