If you have incurred a traffic violation and received a traffic ticket, you will also accumulate points in your driving record. The number of points depends upon the nature of your violation, but once you have accumulated a certain number of points, you could risk suspension or cancellation of your driver's license, as well as a tremendous increase in your car insurance premium.

Some states allow you to take up a traffic school course to dismiss your traffic violation and clear the points from your driving record. However, this may be inconvenient for you as you need to attend at least six hours of classroom lectures on traffic safety and defensive driving.

If you did not pass the exam, you may retake the course for free until you can pass the next exam.

You need to provide information regarding any of the following: your driver's license, traffic ticket or court letter. As rules regarding accreditation of online traffic schools vary by state, you need to clear with your court whether they will allow you to take the Internet Traffic School course before you register.
