FRESH INDOOR AIR
An ionic breeze air purifier is among the latest in a line of air purifier systems meant to clean the air circulating in an enclosed space.
The main selling point of an air purifier is that it is supposed to filter ambient air and subsequently remove impurities that are otherwise harmful to your health.
The earlier models of air purifier systems made use of filters to catch particles such as pollens, dust, bacteria and smoke fumes. This purifier is effective in catching impurities that were relatively bigger in size. However, the use of filters as an air purifier is limited because the filter holes can only be decreased in diameter up to a certain point; beyond that, air can no longer pass through the material. Because filters are limited in the sizes of their holes, smaller particles and organisms can easily pass through them.
FILTER AND IONS
Newer versions of the air purifier utilize a system that combines filters with other mechanisms to produce cleaner, fresher air. Filters act as the first line in a series of cleaning steps before the air is re-released into the room.
The ionic breeze air purifier is one such machine. The principle behind the ionic breeze air purifier is the fact that particles are attracted to other particles with an opposite electrical charge. When particles are charged either positively or negatively, they are then called ions. When the air passes through an ionic breeze air purifier it passes through a filter system and then an ionizing system.
After the initial cleaning by the filters, the remaining particles suspended in the air is then ionized or given a charge. When the impurities have been ionized, there is an oppositely charged material inside the ionic breeze air purifier that will catch the particles and trap them inside until they can be properly disposed of.
