( Health )

If you are a relatively healthy person who has little chance of getting ill any time soon, you may not think it urgent to buy private health insurance coverage. After all, it would seem better to just use some of your precious money to pay for private doctors for your annual check ups, rather than to spend a large sum of money just to buy a private health insurance that you probably won’t use.

But private health insurance companies usually rely on that sense of security that most people have. Private health insurance companies appeal to that sense of uncertainty that exists in every human being’s life. After all, you never know when you could come down with a disease.

But still, this uncertainty can be enough to make you buy a private health insurance, even if an annual visit to the private doctors cost much, much less.

It is also a fact that the emergence of private health insurance companies gave birth to a terrible phenomenon in the medical world. Private doctors as well as some medical institutions have developed some kind of system wherein they segregate the people with private health insurance from those without it.

This is only practical. If you were a private doctor and you have to render your services to several people, you aren’t even sure who will pay and who will not. It would indeed be wiser to give priority to those with private health insurance, so you can be assured that you will at least get some amount of money.

After all, you can’t expect all private doctors to be altruists. Yes, it’s extremely hard to make a decision concerning private health insurance. You could be using the money for your premiums for something else. But you cannot take the risk of being turned down for medical care if you have no private health insurance.
