Circus Circus Hotel & Casino is owned and operated by Mandalay Resort Group which also has other noted hotels in Las Vegas, Reno and Laughlin, Nevada as well as in several other states. It opened in 1974 as a hotel and casino with a unique circus theme and its trademark Midway Gallery featuring carnival style parlor games and free hourly circus acts.

There are two main branches carrying the flagship names Circus Circus Hotel in Las Vegas and Circus Circus Hotel in Reno. Of these two, Circus Circus Las Vegas has continued to expand its facilities, and boasts of its more than 3,700 rooms, a Sky Tower, a 399-space RV park, a 40,000 square-foot shopping promenade, and most recently, an indoor theme park. The 200,000 square-foot Circus Circus casino area features latest technology slot machines and gaming tables for blackjack, craps, Keno, and Live Poker, among others.

You can easily make reservations through several available websites by using the key words "circus circus com". Upon check-in, you receive a vicinity map and a Race and Sports Fun Book. A Sky Shuttle connects the three main towers of the Las Vegas complex to help you move around more easily.

Perhaps the most exciting component of Circus Circus is its Adventuredome indoor theme park featuring 5 acres of attractions for every age group. With a $22.95 day pass, you can board the spine-tingling double-loop double-screw roller coaster, plunge 60 feet on the Rim Runner boat ride, scream your heart out at the IMAX RideFilm Cineplex, go bungee-jumping or rock-climbing, play mini golf and many more.

If you're less adventurous, you will still enjoy the luxurious amenities provided by the hotel area. Most rooms include a color TV with cable and pay per view, refrigerator, and video access. The Circus Circus hotel also has 3 heated swimming pools, a beauty salon, a laundromat, a 24-7 convenience store, and numerous souvenir and gift shops. You can savor sumptious entrees at several specialty restaurants, particularly the famous Steakhouse. If you're on a budget, you will still enjoy the really cheap buffet at the coffee shop.

On the downside, however, some people have complained about noise, slow service and long lines at the buffet area. The rooms in the motel area also leave much to be desired in spite of low rates. Some people have "gotten lost" inside the huge labyrinth-like complex.

As a whole, Circus Circus has continued to live up to its philosophy of maintaining competitively high volume business through reasonably priced room rates, great food and multi-variety entertainment for every member of the family. This philosophy has earned for them an impressive 4 stars and rank as fifth largest hotel in the world.
