The Fountain Blue Hotel Miami can still delight with reminders of its glory days when it was the hotel of choice for presidents and movie producers visiting Miami Beach. The hotel is going through an expansion program that will add eighteen floors of guest rooms to its current 876 units. However, when you enter the hotel, you will discover that they have redecorated the lobby to show you silhouettes of the great rat-pack singers who performed here.

Guests of the old Fountain Blue Hotel Miami have described it as a fine example of old Miami opulence. The guest rooms have always been luxurious, from the very start when it was built in the early 1950s. They have remained that way and you will find them furnished with plush beddings, a minibar, a dataport and fax, and flatscreen TV.

If you get a room in the upper third of the Fountain Blue Hotel Miami's 36-story tower, you will get an uninterrupted view of the ocean. You will enjoy the constant breeze from the sea while having breakfast on your balcony. When you go down to sea level, you'll find yourself right on the beach.

There is a big water park with a water slide and river-raft ride that your children will enjoy. The main pool is big, with a small waterfall and heated water. The water park may not be around too long, though, since the owners want to replace it with a spa.

The Fountain Blue Hotel Miami offers you a courtesy vehicle free if you want to go around, particularly towards Lincoln Road. Most buses pass by the hotel, though, and you won't have a hard time getting a ride. You may need one if you wish to go to South Beach at night and see the beautiful crowd making things happen near the Delano Hotel Miami.
