Plastic surgery has ceased to cater solely to those with disfigured or abnormal physical attributes. Society has now accepted this medical practice as a norm.

Today, most celebrities and TV personalities in Hollywood have resorted to plastic surgery to enhance and/or change their features. Some if not most, are known to favor Beverly Hills plastic surgery.

Beverly Hills plastic surgery clinics are popular to have established posh operating rooms looking like hotel suites. These establishments cater to the “can afford” elites of society; and have been openly advertised in fashion International magazines.

Beverly Hills plastic surgery is known to target a more upscale market compared to lets say plastic surgery in San Diego, plastic surgery in Los Angeles, and New Jersey plastic surgery among other states in America offering it. Surgery units vary from office-based to those that are freestanding.

The variations in the luxuries associated with this medical "craze" as you may call it, is due to the different target markets that it caters to. It appears that anyone, even those who can't afford the operation have ways to availing it. Consumers from the upscale or higher classes no longer have the monopoly of it.

Moreover, this has not only attracted women but men as well. In fact, the number of men resorting to plastic surgery has increased globally.

Treatments offered vary from simple and affordable ones to complicated and costly procedures that amount to hundred thousands of dollars. Not to mention, an additional wide range product line that bring in more revenue as it complements these services. Plastic surgery is indeed a lucrative business that has spread across the globe.

Media has played a big role in the awareness of people about plastic surgery. In fact, most if not all sectors of media has adopted a pro-surgery stand that send a message to the public: “that it is a good option to those who want to experience the benefits brought about by physical transformation(s).”

Despite the acceptance of plastic surgery as a norm, there are those who have been known to be “abnormally” addicted to this medical practice. And this is where people's acceptance and views about this condition vary the most.
