AIR FLOW CONTROL

Wood stove blowers are an important component in wood fired ovens used in the old fashioned cooking of pizzas and bread. Just like kitchen exhaust fans, these wood stove ovens allow for air to circulate in the oven which is important in keeping the heat evenly distributed within the oven.

Wood stove blowers are mainly used in the beginning of the cooking process, where a fire has to be ignited and burn the coals being used for fuel. The wood stove blowers are used to circulate the air, which provides oxygen which in turn makes the flame grow stronger. A strong flame is required so the coal or bricks catch fire and burn on their own. Once the coals are burning, they will provide the necessary heat to cook the food, whichever it might be.

CUSTOM OR READY MADE

Depending on the fire needed, wood stove blowers may be needed only in the beginning of the cooking process, and they will no longer be needed until the food has been cooked. On the other hand, some food requires constant circulation of air, thus wood stove blowers must always be used on a sustained basis throughout the cooking process. Still, there are others that require intermittent use of wood stove blowers.

Some wood ovens have wood stove blowers already included in the package. But not all of them do, so make sure to ask and never assume that it is always included by default. If you have difficulty looking for wood stove blowers, then you can try asking the maker of your wood oven if they can make one for you. It would be better to ask them because they should know how to design a device that would work for your particular stove.

While there may be wood stove blowers that you can buy ready made, make sure to ask the sales representative if it can be used for your particular brand of wooden oven.
