KNOW WHAT YOU ARE ENTERING INTO

A voluntary agreement refers to a contract between two parties wherein the individuals enter into the agreement with full consent and willingness.

One example of a voluntary agreement would be a compromise agreement where both parties agree to resolve the issue between them by following the conditions stipulated in the agreement. The compromise agreement is seen as a win-win solution that aims to address the concerns of both parties involved.

A voluntary agreement is often arrived at through the mediation of legal professionals. This is to ensure that the stipulations agreed upon do not favor one side to the disadvantage of another. If you are planning on entering a voluntary agreement, it is to your benefit that you employ the services of a lawyer to check if the conditions that you plan to enter into are fair and doable under your circumstances.

VOLUNTARY ASSUMPTION

An individual voluntary agreement presupposes that the people involved are entering into the contract without any coercion or threat whatsoever. Some cases of voluntary agreement involve a clause or condition that you have to follow in order to keep the contract in force. If you suddenly break the clause, then the contract is void.

Yet another type of voluntary agreement is the pre nuptial agreement. Under this contract one party waives any right to the assets of the second party should there be a dissolution of the marriage. In exchange for waiving your entitlement, you will be given a specific sum of money in case you decide to end the marriage. The assets in this case involve the material wealth that the party owns prior to the marriage. All assets earned that were earned after the marriage are considered conjugal, and both parties have the right to share in its division.
