LOST TIME

Clocks and watches which use Swiss and Japanese movement are reliable. However, most people do not know that they lose some seconds or minutes the longer they are used. Their mechanical parts are not as accurate because the movement is subject to wear and tear.

While this is a very minor issue and can be addressed with some adjustments, there are clocks out there that are always accurate, down to the last millisecond.

These types of clocks are called atomic clocks. An atomic clock measures time based on the movement of subatomic particles. Because these movements are very consistent, no time is lost the longer the clock is used. You are guaranteed accuracy of time all the time.

There are many types of atomic clocks. There is an atomic wall clock and desk top atomic clocks. But probably the most popular is the atomic clock radio because it is a two in one device which many people have use for.

SELF ADJUSTING

An atomic clock radio is a device that tells time and plays music at the same time. The cool thing about an atomic clock radio is that the clock is accurate down to the last millisecond. An atomic clock radio, just like all types of atomic clocks depend on radio signals to tell time. An atomic radio clock uses battery for its power supply in order to emit and receive radio signals. An atomic clock synchronizes itself with a base station where the radio signals are coming from, and this is where the time is measured.

Another benefit of using an atomic clock radio is that because it automatically adjusts itself based on signals coming from the main atomic clock center, you no longer have to make any adjustments yourself. The atomic clock radio even automatically changes the time when the season for daylight savings time begins, and reverts itself back without you having to do anything.
