Whether you are a company hoping to show off your rising trades and sales, or a foundation hoping to attract donors with pictures of your cause, or a group interested in books or movies and hoping to encourage others to share your joy, you are going to have to attend a show one day, and you will have to make a show display.

But what exactly are show displays? A show display is simply a showcase of all your work, and everything that is good about your company, group, or foundation – but made within the space of a few square meters or less. A show display may be filled with pictures, with gift items you may wish to sell to raise funds, or with memorabilia or paraphernalia your group may wish to exhibit and share.

The Trade Show Display

Trade shows are avenues by which companies can show off their wares and sell new products. Trade shows are usually organized to show off the latest handicrafts; the newest food products, or those which will are in development and thus need to be tested on consumers; or the latest furniture, and how they may be used to either fit in with current trends, or go with traditional set ups.

If you are a company engaged in making furniture, food, gift items, and the like, then you may one day be engaged in making trade show displays. Trade show display will be confined to a few square meters, depending on your product, so you have to be choosy about which of your products you would like to showcase. Your display should also be colorful, but pleasing to the eye – people want to see your wares, not be turned off by its glare.

To make a successful trade show display, have your best products exhibited, and have free catalogs ready to be distributed. Also have lots of copies of your calling card on hand, for those customers who are interested in seeing more of your wares.

Convention Displays

Most conventions will involve talks and discussions on a particular topic, say pharmaceuticals, modern medicine, or gardening. Outside will be booths where companies are invited to set up their displays.

Convention displays offer much smaller space, so if you are a food producer, you can have only your smallest, most compact products on display. If you are a furniture supplier, you may be limited only to pictures! As in trade show displays, have your calling card and catalogs ready.

Since your booth will be among the many convention displays, provide an incentive for people to go to your booth. Offer free tasting of your newest chocolate, have a raffle with your products as prizes, or get ready with few games. Everyone loves prizes and free items!

Whatever show you will be attending, make sure to put up a great show display. In the end, you will have customers flocking to you, to see all the great things you have to offer.
