As the credit card market has become intensely competitive, credit card issuers have come up with many credit card products offering various rewards. If you are a small business owner, you may want to consider these credit card offers.

If you or your business employees need to travel frequently, there are small business credit cards that offer traditional rewards for airline points. You could also get cards that offer rebates for gas and cards with rebates for other specific purchases.

To make the offers even more attractive, bank issuers of credit cards have come out with Cash Back Reward credit cards. The Chase Cash Plus Rewards Visa Card is an example of the cash back reward cards genre.

Cash back reward credit cards are particularly useful for your small business if you make a lot of purchases for supplies and materials used in the business. For instance, the Chase Cash Rewards card for business can earn for you up to 5 percent cash back reward on every purchase, and this applies on all purchases made at all merchants. The cash discounts help your business realize substantial savings on normal operating costs.

You should know that some other kinds of cash back reward credit cards may have some restrictions on the kinds of purchases and/or merchants that are eligible. A different Chase Cash Rewards business card, for example, offers only 3 percent cash back reward on purchases made at gas stations, stand-alone office supplies stores, home improvement centers and hardware stores. For purchases other than the qualified items, you will earn a 1 percent cash back reward.

Aside from entitling you to an immediate cash back reward discount, some cash rewards credit cards will award points for each dollar that you spend. You may then redeem the points in the form of checks or gift certificates after they reach a specified level.
