The World of Warcraft

The World of Warcraft is an immensely popular online role-playing game, where you can join thousands of other players across the globe in a fantasy adventure.

Created by Blizzard Entertainment, Warcraft is a fictional universe filled with magic and fantasy creatures. The scenario is the planet Azeroth which has three continents, where humans and mythical beings co-exist either in alliance or at war with each other.

You get started by purchasing the basic software. You can play online by paying a monthly subscription fee. You can play the game at your time and pace, as well as with your friends through a network.

As a Warcraft player, you assume the roles of heroes and main characters in the story and travel about with many other participants. Along the way, you fight enemies and form alliances with other characters to score points and fulfill missions which will give you special abilities. The game becomes more challenging as you move up the levels.

Importance of Warcraft Server Locations

Warcraft server locations are designated by realms. A crucial part of the game is to choose a realm that you will use throughout your game session. A realm is a particular setting that can accommodate a limited number of players. Each realm has the same story lines as other realms, but not the same players or player settings.

There are four different types of realms. A normal realm allows you to go through the story and choose when to do battles. Another type of realm lets you go in combat against other players. Each realm has its own set of behavioral rules that inhabitants must follow.

For each type, there are many realms you can choose from. Each realm is control by specific servers in order to avoid overcrowding of players. Overcrowding can stop the progress of the game and keep players from operating smoothly throughout the story plot.

Searching for the Right Warcraft Server Locations

The World of Warcraft website lists all the available realms, along with their status, type, and population. A green circle to the left of the realm's name means that the realm is available for play and is not down.

Population is listed as low, medium or high. You can still enter a realm that has a HIGH indicator provided it is available.

If you're playing with friends in a network, you may all want to join one realm for more fun.
