John Gardner, Donald Gardner Homes or Gardner Insurance – it is easy for Laurence Gardner to get lost in a vast sea of names. But Laurence Gardner is far from ordinary, and being extraordinary is what makes him stand out.

Laurence Gardner is best-known for his controversial and top-10 bestseller book “Bloodline of the Holy Grail”. This book was serialized nationally in the Daily Mail and earned Laurence Gardner the 1997 UK Author of the Year award.

Bloodline of the Holy Grail has sparked controversy with its extraordinary, intrigued-filled topic. The book has espoused the belief that there is a royal heritage of the Messiah in the West, something which the Catholic Church has condemned as hearsay. He goes on by giving a detailed account of how records tracing the descent of the sacred lineage down the centuries have been suppressed.

Famous as a historian and best-selling author, Gardner's writing career includes collaborative projects with the The Queen's Bay Regimental Museum, British Tourist Association, the Government of Ontario and other institutions. Gardner has also broken into the screen entertainment business and is executive producer of a London and Hollywood based movie production company. He is also into music and the performing arts and is Conservation Consultant to Britain's Fine Art Trade Guild. His libretto compositions have been performed at London's Royal Opera House, Convent Garden.

Laurence Gardner also claims to be, among others, a Presidential Attaché to the European Council of Princes, Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries, Professional Member of the Institute of Nanotechnology, Chevalier de St. Germain, constitutional historian and Knight Templar – most of which are contested and some subsequently proved false.

Among all the titles given him, Laurence Gardner has proved that writing is what he does best. Along with Bloodline of the Holy Grail - adjudged one of his best works, his other books include The Magdalene Legacy, Lost Secrets of the Sacred Ark, Genesis of the Grail Kings, The Shadow of Solomon and Realm of the Ring Lords. His books have been translated into many languages, have made it to the UK top-10 best-sellers and have been published by the highly acclaimed Barnes & Noble, Penguin, HarperCollins and Transworld, amongst others.
