Trade Show Display Booths can Cost a Lot

Trade display booths are highly indispensable for exhibiting and promoting your products during a trade show or fair. Most come as modular structures that you can put together or take apart. You can also add extra shelves, tabletops or walls to display your banners or to put up videos.

However, buying a new trade display booth can be quite expensive, especially if you want a large size or a highly customized trade show booth design. Just to customize the booth to suit your needs will already take a lot of time. And unless you are planning on joining another trade show, the booth will only end up in your storeroom.

Used Trade Show Booths are a Better Alternative

If you're only planning to use a trade show display booth once or twice, you should consider buying or renting a used trade show booth.

You can find many different used trade show booths through online source or local community bulletins. Internet sites list and display photos and details of hundreds of used trade show booths. The most common size is 20x20, but there are also bigger or smaller ones.

The used trade show booths are shown in their as-is-where-is condition, and the descriptions include the duration and number of times they were used. You can also view them in different angles so that you can easily gauge if the booth is suitable for your own requirements.

Although you may need to remodel the booth completely, this is still at least 40-60 per cent cheaper than to buy a new one. You can always repaint over the old displays, or if you're not too particular, you can still use the booth in its original design and color.

Tips for Buying or Renting a Used Trade Show Booth

When you contact the seller or renter in the ad, insist on an optical inspection of the booth. Although prices are already stated for each used trade show booth, you may still be able to negotiate for a lower price. Inquire about costs of repair jobs as well.

Be clear about the terms of the contract especially if you're renting the booth. The terms should include warranties, delivery conditions, and also possible contingent action if the booth is not up to your expectations.

It may be also be cheaper to modify and repair the booth yourself than to get a third party to do the job.

You should also consider reselling the booth after use if you have no further need for it.
