Ever find your self needing help from customer service? Everyone surely have had an experience with customer service and we have all heard of the horror stories. The quality of American customer service seems to be on the decline. You must learn how to treat customer service representatives well to get quality service.

Ever thought of what it's like to be and America Online customer service representative? Think about this: everyday they are on the phone the entire day having only 2 short 15 minute breaks and a lunch break. They have to talk on the phone and listen to customer issues and complaints. The thing is, almost all the time, it wasn't the customer service representative's fault that there's a problem.

Yes being an American customer service representative can be very stressful. You will be the front liner and the one who receives all the complaints. Getting screamed at is just part of the job. So if you are a very sensitive person, being an American customer service representative may not be for you.

It is understandable for a customer to be upset whenever there's a problem with the service they are getting from a particular company. Remember though, however upset you are, that you have to treat customer service representatives with respect. They want to help you and if you make their job easier, they will be more than willing to help you.

Yes we hear that every time as part of a standard spiel that the customer service representative is more that willing to help us. But if you start at the wrong foot, chances are you won't be treated professionally. It is very important to treat everybody with respect including customer service representatives.

If you have complained about a particular issue and nothing seems to resolve the problem, the best you can do is change providers. You avoid the aggravation and you reward another company with your money.
