What does genital herpes look like. An infected person is most likely to experience an outbreak. Symptoms of genital herpes include itching and sores that appear on the genitals and nearby parts, including the scrotum and anus. After a few days, other signs of genital herpes will show. The sores will turn to watery blisters, making it painful to urinate. The sores may be broken and ooze fluid, and heal within a maximum period of 4 weeks.
