Electric chairs are usually powered by deep-cycle rechargeable batteries, similar to those used on boat engines. Most electric chairs have an on-board charger that you can plug into any standard wall outlet while some models have a separate charger unit.

Today technological advances are improving designs of electric chairs. Some modern electric chairs incorporate gyroscopic technology that enables the chair to balance and run on its two wheels. These state-of-the-art electric chairs also incorporate four wheel drive feature and stair-climbing ability. They are also capable of traveling through many types of terrain, including gravel, sand and up to three feet deep of water.
