Using faux glaze is somewhat an advanced method of applying color to a surface. There's and endless array of options you can do with faux glaze. Take note that this is different from glazing windows. It's just the effect that you are trying to imitate. The effect can create the mood that you are after.

Here are some points to consider. You should be aware of the effect of colors to your moods. Colors do affect mood as proven by research. In a room, blue is always a safe bet but you can always experiment with the myriad of available colors. Your imagination is your only limit.

You will be using two colors for a faux glaze. The first color is the base color. After applying you will let it dry before applying the second color which is the glaze color. Satin enamel is one of the most popular choices when doing faux glaze.

One thing you should remember when experimenting with faux glaze is that you should try a finish on a test surface first before you actually apply it on your wall. This will allow you a little practice and you'll have an idea of how the final outcome would look.

Be careful when you apply the fauzx glaze color using a sponge. You want to achieve a uniform finish all over the wall. Remove excess faux glaze by using a rag before applying it to the wall. Be sure that the faux glaze overlaps so you don't leave any surface without the faux glaze.
