Voltage relays are used in transferring power over the circuit. They are built to last by using heavy duty materials. Sometimes, oils are also used. The sealing of the voltage relay is also an important process as this minimizes, if not eliminates, air contact to further the life of the voltage relays. Voltage relays are used in most industrial applications and even in vehicles like trucks, cars, airplanes and ships.

Voltage relays allow you to use low voltage switches to control high voltage ones. This means that with minimal input, you should be able to control high output. There are many types of voltage relays used depending on the application. Here are some other applications of voltage relays.

High-current circuits can be controlled using low-current circuits. An example of this is the ignition switch of cars. With a turn of the key, you can start the car which uses high-current circuits. There are also voltage relays used to diagnose and track light fixtures problems. This can be used to isolate the problem and solve it easier.

Voltage relays have also been used in various industrial application like in telecommunications and manufacturing. There's a top of relays called protective relays. They are more complicated than ordinary voltage relays in the sense that the voltage and current can be adjusted. Coils are used so that the voltage relays can be used in varying conditions and can be adjusted as well.

A more advanced type of voltage relays is the induction relays. Induction voltage relays use electromagnets. They regulate the flow of current and adjust it accordingly.

In high voltage settings like in power transmissions, the distance relay system is used. Voltage relays are also used heavily in the transportation sector like in trains where electromagnetic control is utilized. These technologies work in the background without us noticing but enjoying the benefits.
